Who's Virginia Woolf? Watch Tracy Letts and Amy Morton Endure Five Awkward TV Questions

While we're usually fans of Good Day New York hosts Rosanna Scotto and Greg Kelly, it felt like they were playing a game of Get the Guests while interviewing Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? stars Tracy Letts, Amy Morton and the show's director Pam Mackinnon. We’ll chalk up the reporting missteps to the fact that today was Kelly’s first day back on the air since June, but there are five seriously cringe-worthy moments in the interview we just can't ignore.

1. "Tell us who Virginia Woolf is and who would be afraid of her?"
That's the question Kelly poses to Mackinnon regarding the well-known drama. Ever the pro, Mackinnon glosses over the question and chats about Albee's play. In case you failed Drama Lit 101, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is not about Virginia Woolf.

2. "Tony-nominated, right?"
Scotto mistakenly calls Virginia Woolf a Tony-nominated revival...even though the nominations won’t be announced until May. Morton comes to the rescue and saves the snafu, adding, “We’re hoping!”

3. "You won a Tony as well?"
Moments after her first Tony mistake, Scotto asks Morton if she won a Tony for August: Osage County. In a word, “nope.”

4. "You know the lines?"
Kelly goes deep with his next question about whether or not the actors have memorized their lines: “You know ‘em cold, I’m sure, right?” After 107 performances on Broadway (not to mention two previous runs in Chicago and D.C.), it’s safe to say the answer is yes.

5. "Is there an intermission?"
Sigh, yes. And if Kelly had actually seen the show, he would know there isn't one intermission, but two. Here's hoping he pays a visit to the Booth Theatre soon.
